I’m delighted to announce that Livonia Chow Mein has been chosen as one of three potential next reads for the CBS Club Calvi bookclub. Starting today, the public has the opportunity to vote on which of the three should be selected. Please vote today for Livonia Chow Mein! (Voting ends on Sunday.)

National Strike Demanding Workers over Billionaires: No ICE, No War, and Hands Off Our Vote!
• No School, No Work, No Shopping (and if you can’t do all of these, do as many as you can)
• I’m hosting a potluck picnic/art build/song-writing party in Prospect Park from 1-3 pm, and then attending a rally. RSVP here.

Saturday 5/16, 4 pm
Brownsville Release Party & Community Conversation on Black-Asian Solidarity with Rev. Cathie Wright-Lewis
Location: Brownsville Heritage House in Brooklyn – RSVP here
Black and Asian New Yorkers are especially encouraged to attend and participate in the discussion. All people are welcome. Simultaneous translation available for Mandarin speakers (Mandarin speakers should RSVP here).
